10 Questions with Anthony Corder.

Tora Tora burst onto the scene in 1989 with a great mix of heavy guitars and Memphis blues attitude. Surprise Attack featured the hit single “Walkin’ Shoes” which was in regular rotation on MTV back when the M in MTV stood for Music, instead of “Meh…”.

Like most rock bands of the time, Tora Tora was not immune to the rise of grunge. After recording their third album (The second being Wild America) the boys learned the new album would not be released.

The four men remained close, and performed from time to time while juggling careers and family. In 2009 they released Bombs Away, and Before and After, signaling their return. Now on Frontiers Records they are working on brand new material to be released in 2019. In the meantime they are excited to perform at the annual RocknPod expo in Nashville, TN. this August. Lead vocalist Anthony Corder joins us here to talk about the band’s beginnings, their songwriting, and the RocknPod expo!
